FDA authorizes Abbott Labs' portable, 5-minute coronavirus test the size of a toaster. 'The company expects the tests to be available next week and expects to ramp up manufacturing to deliver 50,000 tests per day.'

There are a lot of claims about tests coming out and the large numbers that will be run per day. I hope they are true and that this trickles down in the hospitals quickly. I can't imagine it is easy to get new medical products from design to manufacture to use even when there's an all hands on deck type of situation. I got tested this week and I wanted to thank the laboratory people for all the work they are doing and putting themselves at risk and I started crying right in front of them. I wish they could be safe, too. When this is all over we need to have a parade for nurses and doctors and grocery store cashiers and delivery/truck drivers and all kinds of people that kept the world going, like how there are military parades to honor troops.
