Dragons should be tiered separately.

I consider this a far more pressing issue than any one unit, so I’m going to forgo specific resub discussions for this. The idea of having “outlier” tiers is for units that don’t fit the mold of a normal unit and all have similar roles and performance. A refresher tier makes sense, in this context. So does a Gotoh tier. A Royals tier, should we vote to have one, still fits that context. Even poor ledge boy fits that.

The dragons, however, do not. They might look similar on paper, late joiners who’s uses mostly consist of buffing with the tide skills. But in practice they are very much not the same. Nasir is much better than the other three, Ena and Kurth have a couple more maps than Nasir and Gareth, and Kurth is frankly one of the worst units in the game that only gets to stay out of utter trash tier because he does have some use thanks to tide. Lumping them all of them into their own huddle not only leaves no room for nuance between them, but it’s disingenuous for a new player who is going to look at this list and be told that all four of them are effectively the same unit and are equally as useful, which is just straight up not true. And, last I checked, the whole point of a tier list is to help new players, isn’t it? Otherwise, why the hell are we even making these?

I had other unit complaints (Boyd in C and Vika in D are fucking ridiculous, among other things) but nothing is as glaring a flaw as this. The reason given for doing this was that there was little point to tiering them when they’d all just get thrown into E and F. Not only do I not think that’s true (E/F Nasir would just be a travesty for how immensely important he is for the final map) but even if they were: so what? If that’s what they are, that’s what they are. There’s no real reason to say they can’t be tiered normally when someone like Renning was.
