I feel like the WNBA can do better.

This is a good point; even the NBA is a player's league and most "fans" are actually casuals who mostly just follow the drama of the famous men they love/hate (as opposed to actually being passionate about the game of basketball). There has been some progress with exposure in the WNBA, but not nearly as much as they could esp compared to men's sports.

What got me into the WNBA was actually Sue being a host at some nationally televised basketball event. Candace Parker on TNT helps with exposure too. She and Sue are the "perfect" WNBA players to put out there because people are extremely shallow, sexist, and homophobic and those two can pass as attractive, straight, and good enough at the game where haters can't really say anything negative about their game.

So when people throw spears like they always inevitably do when women are involved, haters/losers can only dish out mindless, incoherent misogynistic talking points (ie. "no one cares," "WNBA is a bad product," "I'm better at basketball than these dy**s," etc) instead of substantive commentary.

Yes, I agree more effort could be placed behind national attention on star players and pushing for a player's league. These could help increase ratings and support.
