Pike/Siege push

Well like you said I couldnt make damage fast enough. Comparing to archers or Knights, pikes+siege can't raid so you only do damage if you eat the tc

So you can't realy boom behind it you eat or loose. If you want to eat fast, you have to stay one TC (at least for the start).

Also keep in mind that pikes are terrible vs anything except cav. So only build a lot of pikes if the enemy is heavy on cav. Otherwise monks/archers/Knights are a better siege backup. It's always good to have some pikes, because the enemy will likely try to snipe the siege with cav, but if you don't face many Knights, better spend the recources at something stronger. Other than that the answer is highly situational and there is no general answer.

I'm 1200-1300 1v1 elo and even it's more Yolo than viable I like to go cumans, greedy feudal 2 TC boom. And then while going up I hide two barracks and build pikes and rams. Upgrade those in castle and crush enemy base, but you could argue if I'm able to do all that I already won, because enemy wasn't able to punish the greed. Also it only works vs sc->knight opening, but can be adjusted for other enemy unit compositions

TL;DR: go one TC, eat enemy TC. Don't build primary pikes if enemy isn't on cav.
