FFF: New kids

Wish I could've seen Casey Jones. First show was Bane, Evergreen Terrace, Cursed and Verse.

Still can't get into Bane, and I'm over Evergreen Terrace, but the irony that one of my favorite ever bands (Cursed) being my first show (when I had no idea who they were) isn't lost on me. All I can remember is that they were way too fucking loud, louder than the headliners and louder than most shows I've seen since then (except maybe Mind Eraser).

Back to your point, it's all astronomical. Sometimes you get lucky like I did, and sometimes you miss by a hair or two. Any steps I took towards black or death metal were my own, and even if they were introduced to me at an early age I'm not sure I would've gone for it.

Point being, if you see young kids at shows (even if they look like the kids you don't want at shows), spend a minute or two to reach out to em. What's a few minutes of your time weigh against another potential generation of hardcore kids?
