What’s average age of hardcore fan?

This sub skews young, but a reddit sub isn't hardcore in it's totality. That said, I still think the same idea applies.

Put it like this. Ran into a guy who looked my age and worked at a brewery in Philly and also worked This is Hardcore as a bouncer. This was 2016-2018, not sure. I was already well into my 30s at that point, I'm now 5+ years older. I wasn't going to TIH that year, but it was the 1st day of TIH and I chatted him up at the brewery, cuz I'm a dork and he'd mentioned working the show. He said, "Hardcore's a young person's game" and that's stuck with me. I kind of agree with it. I really love hardcore. I started my day today listening to Gorilla Biscuits and Youth of Today. Also listened to Spazz and Black Flag. But life moves on.

Hardcore has, and should, be a youth-oriented thing. I hope it has a place for people who get older and who still love it (and I think it does), but punk's always been youth centered. So, it's going to sway younger.
