Financial Times: CMA is expected to approve the Microsoft-Activision Blizzard deal on Wednesday.

Me neither, but

Bethesda didn't bother me really. They entered console games as an MS exclusive, and have their origins as a major PC dev. Same with id before Bethesda bought them. It was big, but it seemed sort of a natural fit even if shockingly "big".

Activision is big enough and insane enough that it shocked me and kinda didn't feel good. Consolidation of the major publishing companies like that is always gonna feel sketchy. However, Activision was also a nightmare before this. Like, being bought and reorganised by Microsoft, somehow MS seems like the less evil of the two. It'd be nice to see Blizzard's properties liberated from Activision's whole situation. I hate a purchase of this size as a rule, but... I mean no one is gonna miss the old management in this case, right?
