Are you fucking serious? I can't imagine this is a serious comment if you know what I mean. Almost all genre films apply. In any given list of films, the majority of them will not be focused on a topical/political issue.

Your comment is absurd. You're saying it never happens, which is a silly argument.

The comparison I always use is a bookstore. You're saying "There are no good books in that bookstore." How could you possibly know that? All I have to do is find ONE example and you lose the argument, the hill you're trying to climb is so steep it's impossible to defend.

And even if your premise is correct, the notion of "Oscar bait" still has descriptive meaning.
