You've known her a year. Has she ever dated anyone in the time you've known her?

I just see a few flags that make me a bit wary, specifically :

I'd be cautious about someone who "loves" you romantically if you've only been on one date.

she is very much afraid if dating didn't work out, she might completely lose me from her life

This and the above sound at best like crippling self-esteem problems, at worst borderline personality disorder. You obviously know her better than we do, but I'd have a deeper look at how she acts otherwise before making your next move.
