people stopped giving a shit about competitive team fortress 2 when overwatch released and everyone realized you can actually make money playing it if you're good enough so since like 2017 NA invite is basically froyotech cannibalizing the one or two really good players from competing teams that could actually challenge them and barely anyone is there to replace them because if you're actually really good at class based shooters why would you try and make your career in the one whose developers are neanderthals and whose competitive scene a) doesn't make any money and b) is seen as the second coming of adolf hitler by the rest of the community
