Yes! I died so many times...so so many...and then I realized that for the first two phases, you can just hold block forever. He cant break your posture. When he's recovering from an attack you can dodge and hit him a couple times. Big charging arrow....dodge and hit him at the last minute. Or just keep blocking. You get stunned but it wont hurt. Hell do his grab perilous move like a hundred times and its really easy to see it coming. And just dodge behind him. Side dodge his air leap, attack. Just dont stop blocking until you have to. So simple to eventually go the first two phases without taking damage this way.

Third phase you cant do that as much because he breaks posture, but you can block the first or two of his comb and then leap back a few times. Hell finish his combo far away from you. Keep doding and blocking and backing up. The whole point is to creat enough distance that you draw out the lightning. When you see him charging up to jump, which there's plenty if warning, jump in the air and hit that dhit back at him. ~4 will kill him.

Honestly, after the blocking approach, I only really needed to learn a little about phase 3 to beat him there.
