Rush ortho - had a math riddles room. Like riddles that required you to do actual math. It just seemed mean and completely unnecessary. PD also asked very strange questions like “what do you think of ortho residents covering covid patients” ???

Marshall ortho - no female residents or attendings. (I am a non-white female). said I could “increase diversity because I’m a women” and that “we’re not going to just change our ranking because we want more women” residents also said that their one past female resident was “one of the boys” and described their wives hanging out like it was some kind of wives club. Red flag.

San Antonio ortho - asked me what my favorite illicit substance was, “who would win in a fight a hippopotamus on meth or bear on cocaine” I actually really liked this program, the social was fun and the residents were nice but the interview itself was so strange it made me not want to rank it high.

Mayo ortho - interview room grilled me about why I only high passed a rotation and why my step 1 score was lower. Why did you interview me then…

I have others but those were the most egregious. Especially Marshall
