Backstory:

Someone PMed me a week or so ago saying "Hey (my rl name here)" and I was super confused, I figured it was a friend from uni or something, but nobody I knew at uni played or knew I played so it was strange, then a few days later a different username messaged me with my personal home address, which was pretty freaky, I figured it was a family member or someone playing a stupid early april fools. Last night I got a pm from the first guy saying "I wish I had a partyhat" and then he logged out, it was weird so I added him to ignore

Now I don't usually lend out anything but this one guy was nagging to borrow it and I wasn't going to be on for 17 hours or so, so I lent it to him for that time period, and off to bed I went

I wake up early hours of the morning

The guy who borrowed the hat has had it for around 5 hours now, so there's 12 hours left on it, I try to log in and it says someone is on my account. PANICMODE??? I logged in to my alt and checked what world my main was on, I was freaking out, I managed to trail and track it down there it stood at varrock GE, it wouldn't respond to me or anything, I started to try and get it back.

I forgot I'd loaned my hat out so I was freaking out, I was MAD, I thought they'd stolen it, so after 2 hours or so of trying to get it back I waited for responses and tried to sleep as I had an important following day

I wake up again, the hat is about to run out in an hour or so, I finally get access to my account again thanks to the amazing Jmods on twitter and I managed to get on before my hat came off loan

I AM SO EXCITED AND HAPPY. The hacker took 80m I had in my inventory which I don't care about, I'm buzzing!

I've moved the rest of my wealth to a brand new account and it'll stay there for a while until I know 100% my main is secure, I don't know how they got in, it was probably my fault for not being secure enough
