Got a new bunny, he loves digging. It's funny how you can dig without 2 inch nails, isn't it?

So you can see the descriptions but here's the full story:

Wanted a guinea pig, found 2 on petfinder. Were told they were at L*v!ng C*mpan!*ons N*rth P*le AK, they were a pair. Desperately not wanting to wait, we decided to make the long drive. This is where we were met with a weird setup for an animal 'rescue'. They had a building for dogs/exotics/home base, and then another building for cats. Confused in the snow storm, we walked into the cat building. It... Smelled. Profusely. Our local shelter has had a lot of cats in a single room, and it never smelled that bad. The cats were.. Greasy, pretty greasy. But hey, cats smell, right?

Nope. Just shitty care. Well turns out they werent the place that had the 2 guinea pigs we were interested in, no idea what place has them. But they did happen to have a guinea pig, a cute one. They also had this cute little mini lop in a cage next to her. It was wire flooring, but it was also half wire, half solid, so I wasn't actually going to go all 'da fucks wrong with you' on their ass. But I should've, when I saw the little bunny want attention put his paws on his door to sit up. And I saw his atrocious nails. Asked if we could look at him, and looked at his nails closer to ensure what u was seeing was true. Yep.

I absolutely couldn't leave him there. Asked what type of rabbit it was, how old, sex. She just said lop (no shit lady, what type?), forget what age she said, and she said he was a she. Nope, took him out again when she was walking around (she left us alone with the animals a lot. She was there, but wasn't hovering like most people do. I actually kind of liked that, but then again, I'm judging her for not assuming we're idiots who'll kill something while holding it and ensuring that's not happening, lol), barely got a look between his legs. Huge balls.

Like seriously. This isn't a case of her sexing a young a rabbit incorrect. Either she got him young and sexed him young (and wrong), and hasn't looked at him for months, or didn't bother to look at the sex when she got him. Doesn't surprise me.

The entire house reeked. The amazons (parrots) were kept in a filthy cage, yet the parakeets were pretty clean. She had an aggressive dog in a kennel right next to the door, despite having an area in the back to keep aggressive dogs. Perhaps it was full? But why not put the aggressive dog closer to the back, instead of right next to the door?

Anyways. Know where I won't be giving any of my animals to (should I be forced to give them up): N*rth P*le L*v!ng C*mpan!*ns.

Don't want to share any personal info tho. So I've put the name in a code, no worries mods.

(FYI - the owner of this 'rescue' is sorta a jerk too. Wasn't very friendly, didn't seem like she really wanted to deal with us, or cared much about us - ie, asking much questions. She was just very off putting, which isn't really good when you're trying to find good homes for your animals..)
