The west is not a friend of India. It is plainly obvious that they don't like India and they are only pretending to befriend India for ulterior reasons. For them, India is like Pakistan. India and Pakistan were once a single country! What did they do to Pakistan for all these years as an ally? Nothing! Japan and South Korea became wealthy with the help of America but Pakistan didn't. They just used Pakistan. They see India as a different form of Pakistan. They don't respect this region. Everything they know about Pakistan can be applied to India. They have stereotypes about this region and they apply them to all South Asian countries. If we have to gain respect, the whole region much develop.
