My evening today:
I open GTA and join a session so my friend will automatically be placed in mine when he joins.
3 minutes later...
He opens the game and is put on a different server. It's populated, so I just say screw it and join his.
3 minutes later...
I'm finally in the server but there isn't anyone else connected. I close out of the game and open it back up praying I'll be placed in his.
5 minutes later...
"Friend is no longer in the session", and I'm placed in god damn singleplayer. I tell him I'll just join a new session and he can join mine.
3 minutes later...
Success! We're both in. We play for some time and soon after decide to do a heist. We go to his apartment and he tells me the server is spammed with "___ left, ___ left, ___left" and I'm kicked out of his apartment.
3 minutes later...
He opens the game but he's not on my server. I guess that's fine because he can just invite me to the heist, right?
3 minutes later...
"Timed out locating session" or whatever.
3 minutes later...
We're both finally in a server and the invite worked! We go through the briefing stages and soon enough WE'RE PLAYING THE GAME. We're having such a good time and we even completed all the side objectives
in the prison heist. We give it a go and no shit we die and fail the mission.
So we restart at the checkpoint and guess what? One of our players can't see in-game and it's just a picture of his character. I kill myself and we restart once again. Now I'm having the problem. We say
fuck it and just close out of the mission.
Aaaaaaaand now we're back to square one with session issues.
