Guess Who Just Heard the FBI Reopened the Investigation!

I looked it up and Bernie has been making around $165,200 and $174,000 a year. Let's make it a nice $170,000.

I don't know how long a governor works per week, so let's pretend 80 is a normal work week.

$170k/12 months is ~$14,166.67. So he's is getting ~$3,269.23 weekly, and about ~$40.87 hourly.

The MIT living wage calculator calculates that living wage where Bernie lives, Chittenden County (Burlington), for 2 adults (One working) with 3 children is $29.71 per hour just to support themselves and their children to make ends meet. If you threw on the fourth kid it's about $53.41.

However, all of this is redundant as all of his children are fully grown right now.

For comparison, living in Manhattan with the minimum living wage for 2 adults with only one working is $20.95 and it's $31.72 for 2 adults (one working) with 3 children.

Everyone of course gets the "Oh crap, I need money!" feeling once in their lives, but when his wife was President of Burlington college she was making ~$160,000 per year. And, if you and your wife were making around $330,000 per year for 7 years you should have plenty of money left over unless you suck with handling money.

tl;dr: Bernie doesn't understand how to distribute and handle money.
