I’m seeing some disagreements about when to peek raiders and when not to in order to not get laser-beamed straight to the dome.

I want to emphasize this greatly: Raiders can not see you if you ALT-E or ALT-Q from behind an object that obstructs their view from you completely, prior to using the step out. You can literally hold ALT-E or Q from behind an object/wall that obstructs their view and kill a wave of raiders without moving an inch.

I’ve got plenty of video evidence to show how this works if anyone disagrees.

I can’t say the same for leaning out with only Q/E, I do not believe this works in the same way. I’ve been killed doing this plenty of times. It’s strictly Alt-E/Q.

Also, objects that raiders can shoot through have a similar effect to using Alt. You can dodge where the Raider is aiming through the wall or whatever it is by using E if he can’t see you through it with his vision.
