He keeps moving forward, until Eren is completely destroyed

Man this dude was just a in depth character and we could see how his world view changed to him wanted to protect his homeland and obtain this freedom he desired . We could see how this freedom he desires became complexed and there was this question if he was actually free in the first place. We saw him break down over what he did and felt so much pain but kept moving forward so he could achieve what he knew as “peace and freedom”

But then 139 happened and I felt like his development went back far. at first I thought oh he’s panicking because he doesn’t want to die but after rereading it and the interview I felt like Eren was brought down from his philosophy and experience of the world to fit in with ships or something.

Eren at the start was a naive boy with a desire of freedom and to explore the world Eren near the end was a broken boy who wanted to keep moving forward through a horrific reality to gain this desire of freedom and try to break this cycle of suffering. Eren at 139 was I don’t even know. It really didn’t scream “attack on Titan” anymore and felt the message it was trying to get across was lost.
