This video pissed me off to no end

But he explains why that isn't the case in the video.

Eren was bored with normalcy and craved "something to happen" as shown in S4 (flashback) and in school castes. Eren would never be satisfied and would search for something nonexistent to fill that void had he lived. Even if you argue that he'd be free once he completed the rumbling, given the trauma he faced in 131 how could he really be free? Not to mention the issue of titan inheritance not being addressed, which was a huge reason as to why he rejected the 50 year plan.

No, he didn't accept a shit sandwich but a compromise that allowed him to achieve most of what he wanted. He wouldn't take his friends' freedom away because he valued them and their will to do as they please, which explains why he entrusted the future to them (think "Armin will sace humanity" in RtS). Him not stopping his friends shows that he wasn't serious about finishing the rumbling at a certain point, which invaderzz talks about. He either a) gave up in 131 after not being able to handle killing billions or b) changed his plan like invaderzz said, as having his plan depend on Mikasa ending the curse wouldn't make sense if it was planned from the medal ceremony, as Eren in 139 says he found out Mikasa would break the curse in paths when he touched Ymir. Both scenarios make perfect sense, imho.
