Why have our ministers got it in for the unemployed?

I have applied for just about every shitty job that has had an opening, I've even applied to work for SA Waste Management.

I never get any of these jobs, I get interviews but never manage to nail it down. It's through no lack of trying and I've had my resume redone by three different 'resume professionals' my JSA has taken me too, and done more fake interviews than I care to count for practice. I gave up telling the truth and now lie like everybody else and I still can't get one of these menial jobs.

I did volunteer work for a year, I did work experience before that and with all this experience I still don't get anything.

I went out of my way to do a Cert II in Retail that I payed for out of my own pocket in a desperate attempt to get a part time job. I managed to land a shelf stacking job for a while but being a casual my hours were dropped to the bare minimum when I turned 22 and I was pretty much replaced by younger, cheaper workers. I was made redundant after a while and that store still exists staffed by an army of teenagers. I don't think I did anything wrong in that job and when asking my manager I was told staff just had to be reduced so profits could be higher.

Find me a dish washing job, and I'll fucking do it, because god knows I've tried everything from cold canvassing, asking for managers and everything else under the sun and I don't get given a break.

Where do people like myself, and the many others like me factor into your calculations? These jobs just don't exist anymore in a lot of places.
