Here is why the Covid testing is giving off a false sense of protection

logically it doesnt make sense, PR wise it totally makes sense. Of course testing when you come ON to campus at first is going to maybe work if the stars align. that means that the patient didnt literally just pick it up and COVID has had time to generate in the body enough to test out.

Now, god forbid you have a job or come into contact with a student who didnt take the test bc they ‘dont live on campus but are recommended to’. Logistically of course this doesnt work and it really doesnt make any sense. i forgot to mention that theres bound to be a lab back up with an influx of thousands of students all taking the test at the same time and the results could come long after youve moved in and are taking your first quizzes. theres a possibility that asu is conducting quick turn around tests and if thats true please let me know, but i am assuming this is no different from current testing being performed throughout the state which is reporting a 14 day turnaround.

if you ask me... this is all just a response to not pushing in person classes back. thats all! its very much ‘dont worry, were testing for covid!
