The Telugu and Tamil Brahmin communities are definitely the most conservative, in that order. I can still find some liberal Tamil Brahmins, they’re not unheard of. Am yet to meet a normal Telugu one. Not a personal experience of mine but this one girl I knew from convocation was telling me how this one Tamil helicopter mom didn’t believe in letting her kid go to his friends’ houses cause she didn’t want her son eating or drinking at their house lol. I have no idea why? I asked my mom and she asked me if his mom believed in black magic or something? That the mix something in the food and water. But that stuff happens in India not here. But seriously she’d only let him eat and drink at their other relatives’ houses.
