Hi Guys, sorry if this seems like self promotion it really isn't... but this summer i made an album with a broken acoustic guitar and help from Reddit, and on re-listening to it i'm actually pretty proud of it, i'd honestly appreciate anyone who'll give it a listen from start to finish...

Have the album playing in the background.. a few tracks in, if it was getting on my nerves it would have been shut off. I can't check the spotify though, you'd need a smart phone, I'm on a desktop.

I'm usually not into "feeling sorry for yourself" type music though. haha. Also this simple singing with just an acoustic guitar, some people like it, sometime's it's better when it's simpler. Maybe what can be done though is an extra version where you add drums and electric, bass. Maybe experiment. Maybe you could take some of these melodies and really change it up and do "club" EDM versions of them. Might be another angle to look at. Take a look at popular songs where there's song structure changes.. they go from the verse to the chorus. Well, you got those going on. Might be able to do extra versions of different genres of some of these songs. You got the musical ability going on.

I'd like to see a youtube video showing this broken guitar and those notes you can't play.

In the 90's I went through a few bad pawn shop guitars, an acoustic, a couple basses and they'd always be warped necks and would buzz on some notes. haha. You get this spacing between the strings and the fret board. So it doesn't buzz by the neck you have to raise it too much by the body.

Later had a fair electric guitar where all the notes would actually be able to be in tune. The strings weren't high from the frets. Had thrown out the rest and only had that one in later years.

By early 2000's had ran out of my own riff combinations and went to the pawn shop I bought it at, and got a couple hundred bucks for it!

I never did chords though, they were tuned like a 6 string bass. So that's going to limit things. It didn't make sense how the two smaller strings were tuned differently. Trying to place your fingers for chords, I'd probably have been too uncoordinated anyways. Then the type of strings, for the smaller ones I got this light gauge where it's really thin. That helped but the little one would often break if you wind it up too much. At least you could play more faster notes without it hurting your fingers as much. An acoustic, that's tough to play.

Listening to your stuff in the background in the meantime. I'm up to past halfway. Some of the things get on my nerves a bit though. I'd have to go thru each track and point out exact times and go, well not sure about what I'm hearing here, something's getting on my nerves on some tracks. Maybe a note combination. Or just this woe is me vibe. I'm not really into that eh. The "angst".. I don't sit around listening to stuff like that eh. haha. Also music where lots of stuff is going on in the background where it's distracting, like while I'm trying to type here. Some tracks were more mellow and wasn't throwing me off and could concentrate.

So what's going on over there with the "dirt broke". That's what's going on to me at the moment. haha. So I know what that's like. Like pretty bad here but do get paid next Thurs. Running low on food until then, 3 bucks in "savings" haha.

Only working part time though. Gotta go temp it in days between that. Need some type of more permanent solution hopefully before winter. Was pretty bad before I got this part time job last month. I've applied at oh like 150 places since last fall. I know what you mean about being "dirt broke". haha. But probably not a good idea to let that reflect in all the music. Maybe somebody in some other subreddits could do remixes from stems to "pop" it up. haha.

So what's going on over there? Sounds like it was worse in previous seasons?
