His dad just wants to bond

Some people are truly oblivious to the other side of the fence. I envy people who don't know what it was like to have the only interactions with their parents being screamed at for bothering them while they're watching TV, to constantly be told to go away, and then the parent is all shocked when the kid doesn't care about knowing them once their grown. There's even a fucking song about this shit! Cat's in the kradle yeah?

My interactions with my own son are based off this. I don't want my kid and I to have the relationship I have with my parents, that's why we fucking play. It's why I've got us set up to play with bubbles in the yard later even though I hate that slimey shit. And I'll fucking smile while I'm doing it.

But no, people see a comment saying "don't ignore/abuse your kid when they're young and expect them to want you around later" and they don't like that.
