You’re right in that dancers tend to gravitate towards customers they think have more money to spend. But it also a Friday night before a holiday. Lots of married men go out before being overwhelmed by family and friends for the weekend. So there’s a lot of competition. You likely were the only guy there who wasn’t getting the attention they wanted. Wearing a $1000 suit doesn’t make a difference. Business or weekend casual is good. You’re first time in strip clubs can be a bit of a shock. Not exactly as advertised in movies. If you see a dancer you like and it’s busy, tip the waitress to introduce her to you. Or, just tip the waitresses well and they will point you out. Everyone wants the tippers to be happy and keep tipping.
