Sorry I’m a client/customer so I’m not sure if I’m allowed to post here but I just wanted to say wow this was so interesting to read. Especially about Portland, idk about the smaller dive bar type clubs (not my scene) but I would’ve thought the bigger gentlemen type clubs downtown are pulling in tons of customers traveling through from California to Seattle or Canada or something. I lived in Portland for a couple months in 2020 and really wanted to check up the blind there but the schedule was so inconsistent with all the covid obligations it was nearly impossible to keep up with the days they were open/closed.

Do you think the strip Club industry in general is dying? I had this conversation with a stripper in 2018 or 2019 pre covid already and I can’t even imagine what the industry is like now. Young people are not really interested in sex work anymore? And if they are they go online to either find a high end or low end escort or those too shy use cam girl sites like Chaturbate as the new strip clubs? My guess is that as bigger cities place heavier restrictions on strip clubs and just generally make things more difficult (we’re already seeing this with NYC, LA, etc) the most money is going to love to “fly over” states like the Midwest, Phoenix, Texas (Dallas, Austin), and the South East (Atlanta, Florida, Carolinas). Curious to hear your thoughts.
