Acceptable range of tips

Stage dances can be $1 and up. Generally, if you are seated at the stage, you need to be tipping. I prefer to tip $5’s but 5x $1 works as well. If I want the dancer to come to me after her stage set, I’ll put down a $20. Most strip clubs you don’t actually have to tip the dancers on stage. You can sit away from the stage and watch customers to see what’s normal for that club. Heck, some clubs have a six-foot rule and you can’t even get close. For private dances, I generally tip after we’re done with all the dances I’m going to get. I generally agree to one dance, then if I like it, I’ll ask for more or upgrade to a more private area. Tipping also depends on how much I want her to remember me the next time I visit. Say I get $100 worth of dances, I generally tip $20. If I really want her to remember me, I’m probably getting at least $500 in dances and a $100 tip. But when I get that many dances, I don’t really make her dance every song. We might do four or five songs, then relax and chat for a few songs, maybe a couple more dances, then I thank her and pay for the full amount of dances I said I would buy. So she gets the same amount as she would have by dancing every song, but gets to spend part of that time working in other customers. Always tip the waitresses and bartender. I tip $1 per drink, but if I’ve been there a while and the waitress has taken care of me, I make sure to hand her a $20 before I leave.
