How did the political activists at these rallies and protests become so radicalized?

What's more news worthy? Protestors who:

A) are paying homage to Hitler and white supremacy in American streets and are declaring themselves to both be on the right (#unitetheright) and Trump supporters or

B) protestors who are against Nazi salutes and mottos being so flippantly shown?

Yes, freedom of speech and what not. Skirmishes here and there, both sides carrying shields etc. It appears only one side had a man that decided it a good idea to drive a car through a crowd of people.

Of course the media will point out the side the murderer was on! That's where things went terrible! And it doesn't help that Trump lambasted both sides and didnt call out this dickhead and his beliefs in particular.

One side committed an act of terror. Was it organized? No, it was probably just a lone loon who did this, may he rot in hell.

Trump hasn't done himself any favors in picking out people who he attacks(Merry Streep, but not this terrorist) or certain groups(Media, SNL, but not these literal nazis) and his sometimes questionable and slow choices in response regarding white supremacy/nationalism and the bad alt-right.

They're only pointing at trump supporter because they are the news.
