How does BJP justify this?

You are asking the wrong questions, OP.

You are trying to prove that BJP is a party which goes back on its statements. So, what? Only the stupidest followers will blindly believe a political party or a political leader.

BJP is a political party - and all parties do that. Sorry - BJP is not AAP or Arvind Kejriwal. They are a political party looking for political gains and will choose any legal option possible to deter the ruling party from going ahead with their policies. It is up to the ruling party to take hard decisions and execute on them. If all opposition started blindly agreeing to the ruling party policies, the opposition will NEVER win - all credit will go to the Ruling party. Effectively, the ruling party will continue ruling for decades. Now you decide, if you want that.

What you should ask is - Is BJP doing the right thing now? Are their U-Turns helping the country or not? If they are helping - whats your problem? Other than proving that BJP does U-Turns!

If these U-Turns are NOT helping the country - then thats a problem

If any old stand when BJP was in the opposition - significantly delayed progress - Yes that is a problem. In that case, one needs to see - why the ruling party failed in getting the policies through.

This is not a defense of BJP. It is a fact of life, that this is how democracies work. If you still fail to see that and expect that one leader or party to be rule them all. (one leader who never does U-turns or is most honest or incorruptible) - very soon you will have a Autocracy or Monarchy (in case of India!), hiding behind a democracy due to very weak opposition - effectively resulting in the ruling party winning every time.

Please Understand this - Having a strong opposition is very important for Democracy. And sometimes, that opposition is just for the sake of opposition.
