There's a separating aspect between Mars and the Moon, not an applying one. You do not need an applying aspect to determine feelings, though.

While you are correct that Venus exalts Mars, it also is in the detriment of the Moon, which is your other significator. His Sun (his other significator) has no interest in you at all beyond being in Mars' term, which is very minor.

As your significators have no interest by reception in his, I question where this query is coming from - what is your goal, here? Your Mars has just left a sign where it is dignified but hates Venus, which is often telling. I've seen a 'drop in self esteem = need a relationship to pull myself back up' thing happen before. Your Moon was also in Aries not long ago where it also hated Venus but exalted the Sun - physical attraction without liking the person much is possible too.

This reads like hugely mixed feelings from him, to answer your direct question. Whether you like him enough or not is something you will have to puzzle out a bit, by the look of it.
