Why do so many black women wear weaves and wigs?

Because I’m tired of feeling inferior about my natural hair because is not 3c with juicy curls or pin straight. People tell me they love my hair, it’s long etc but just stuff I’ve seen online & how some black girls have gotten thrown out of schools for their natural hair makes it hard to love mine. Esp w going to a pwi I just feel out of place. My hair is thick, long and healthy but I genuinely feel inferior about it and just wanna forget how it really (not straight lol) is so I just hide it under wigs (which yall also make us feel shit about..) & don’t touch it unless I’m redoing my braids. You post is also really insensitive lol.

Tldr: we’re shamed for our natural hair which makes us feel self hate, that leads us to wearing wigs and then are also shamed for wearing the wigs. Fuck you tbh lol
