How it feels to die in Valorant

So in shooters there is often something called a "peekers advantage", where the person walking around a corner sees the person holding the corner first because of server delays. Because of this, there are technologies that should technically smooth all of this out and make it so everyone is on even ground, giving the advantage back to the defender. The characters you see on your screen are almost never exactly where they are on their own screen. However, according to a lot of really good streamers and my own experience playing Valorant, there seems to be something going on with that technology. People often get shot before they even see the opponent peeking. Now it could of course simply be a matter of prefiring and shooting through walls but it's good to keep an eye on that.
