How do you keep from going crazy waiting for surgery?

totally agree with above comment about vocalizing your concerns. apparently my jaw was unstable at the during my third year of braces as a teen so I got them removed and told to wait until my jaw stops growing(something along the lines of that) before getting braces on again and moving onto surgery. i ended up waiting four years and heard pretty much nothing in that period. (they honestly probably forgot about my case) thankfully my mom went to pester my orthodontist with the problems I have and that’s when they started referring me to do xrays and mri scans. I’m not sure how much longer I would’ve had to wait if my mom didn’t bug them. make them aware of the serious problems you have or your case may be not a concern for them! I know it really fucking sucks to have to just wait but it truly does get better

Looking for advice! Feeling discouraged :( Jaw Surgery or Face Lift I've seen so many recommendations for LACOMS/Walline but barely any before/afters I’m planning to get only a le fort 1 (2piece). I start braces tomorrow. The le fort and braces are all I can afford. Is it going to be worth it? Thinking of getting DJS (pictures inside) UK NHS treatment - getting the ball rolling - wait times? My surgery has now been cancelled due to Victorian lockdowns... Le Fort 1 Osteotomy Advice Needed What constitutes a "good" surgeon? 8 days post DJS and lower lip and chin are 100% numb. I know it takes time but since there’s 0 sensation I’m terrified it will be like this forever.
