How many here wear historical fashions casually as they do with modern clothing?

I'm a big fan of Vincent Briggs' collection of 18th century shirts made with modern prints. I drafted a late 1890s yoke shirtwaist and Mother Hubbard dress pattern (blouse is just dress shortened) and I've made many of them with quilting cotton with cute patterns. I even have themed blouses for different holidays and seasons. I wear Mother Hubbard dresses for casual clothes since I don't need proper undergarments. For nicer occasions I wear shirtwaist and solid ankle length skirt or one piece dress with defined waist. I've honestly didn't encounter too many negative reactions. The rudest encounter I've had was an old woman demanding to know why I was dressed like Anne of Green Gables and "because I want to" is not a satisfying answer to her. But that's an isolated case. Most people seem to love my outfits and gave plenty of compliments.
