I'm in same situation, been riding it out for going on 8 months now. It's weird wanting to break it off and having good reasons but letting her stay because like u said, I care for her just not in love. Even though she tells twice or more everyday and I always say it back.
Definitely feel like more of a friend tho and I don't like her family. At 1st I did but now I've seen all of them for who they are over the past year and I don't like what I'm seeing and hearing and even how the dad has made me feel.
He pretends to be gentleman and then he is just a boarish asshole who disrespect Ed me several times over.
Even though he thanked me for treating his family with respect, then he goes and treats me like shit.
The rest of the family idolizes him and think he is a god who taught them so much, but the rest of the family are actually useless assholes as well.
The parents are drama queens and attention seekers, constantly. Ruined a birthday dinner for their sons, daughter and me by complaining and sending back food, some of which was ours and not even for them.
On top of that they had their daughter pay for them when it's partially a bday dinner for her, supposed to be a temporary loan, but they never paid her back.
Long story short, they are obnoxious boisterous assholes and yes they are a majority reason as to why I would never marry my gf and truthfully want to break up.
I also don't like her smoking cigarettes and sometimes she will go up to 2 or even 3 days no shower.
It's terrible.
