I won't say the game is dead. Maybe it's dead compared to when it first started. But I'm sure lots of people play.

I just never got around to unsubscribing from this subreddit, but I haven't played in months because the game play was bad in every way. It became annoying to play. And new pokemon isn't what's going to bring me in. I'm not a fan of having pop-ups every 20 seconds while going at a walking speed.

I'm sure you're right about more. Pokemon not bringing people back in. I didn't stop playing because I couldn't catch Totodile. I'm sure those who kept playing will like it and enjoy the update. And it's likely far from a dead game, still. It's just like every other game. Hype died down. People stopped talking about it so it has less word of mouth. And it's died down to a smaller fan base.

I loved the game. Want to keep loving it. But it's just not fun anymore. It's irritating to play for me. But me wanting to love this game is probably why I still haven't unsubscribed from this subreddit.
