Same. I think it's partly why in a writer and why I love movies/books so much. I tend to love anything with a strong emotional aspect where you wouldn't expect it (like the stereotypical strong man who cries over his friend's death kinda emotion, not the lovey dovey stuff). In effect, it's how I satisfy those longings. Reality isn't always how you think it'll be, but the books you write more often are. I kinda live vicariously through imagination. Kinda sad from one perspective, but from another, I get to experience a vastly broader range of experiences than the typical human. When I need something tangible, my dog distracts me with nose kisses and punching me in the eye with claws extended
