I'm having a hard time eating meat...

I always say that the less meat you eat, the less you're going to enjoy it. I used to be a meat potatoes no veg girl until I started experimenting with meat replacements when I was 16 or 17, then I slowly started having less and less meat over time, enjoying it less and less as well. Until one day when I was 23 I realised I didn't like the taste of meat at all. That was the day I first went vegetarian. To be honest, I have little bets with myself about when certain people I know are going to stop eating meat. The girl who eats "as vegetarian as possible, so always meatless except when special arrangements need to be made"? She'll go vegetarian within two years, maybe vegan within five. The girl who likes meat, but also thinks "tofu is the bomb and veggie burgers are better than ones with real meat"? She needs something to trigger it, a health scare, a documentary, a try-out month, but probably within ten years. My mother, who has been eating less and less meat since I went veg, started getting a dislike for bacon a few months back and enjoys veganised versions of dishes better than the ones with meat? Five years. It's smug, but I like it.
