[Image] because of its persistence.

This quote was most likely written by someone with an unhealthy bias toward water, now before you say "Woops your crazy brah". Let me explain why this quote is gaaarbage, the quote disregards all science and makes it entirely about the "power" water.... Which again is bs because water has no power, it only flows because of earth's mass( gravity) and the formed earth beneath it. This quote says "water did it alone." Welp I say Nope! Here's the big picture, Water is powerful because it does not retain any power by itself, it is a formless vessel to carry the other elements, and be controlled by other elements; this is its greatest strength and most critical weakness. Waters persistence is really an simplification of its persistence to continue flowing despite the other elements interactions. In regards to carving canyons; water isn't alone it carries earth sediments downstream including metals and sands to waterjet and carve the earth via high pressure rivers above the earths surface and beneath in subterranean rivers to carve the paths. The rock often is battered by wood swept down river bumping and cracking rocks often creating dams that have other affects. It carries sediments caused by natural fires and wind storms. Water is great and all but it is a dramatic oversimplification to say that it by itself is doing all the work. it takes all the elements to make this happen. Soo uhh take your oversimplified motivational quote and toss it out the window, cause it's garbage!
