[Image] roald Dahl would have been 100 last week, here are some of his wise words

Totally agree.

When I broke things off with my ex, she told me to look behind the picture she'd made of us for our biggest anniversary together, and to read the letter there. It was beautiful and I don't know that I've ever cried like I did on that day. Things had gone so bad, but deep down, she had loved me, and I wanted to make it work again so badly.

Then she asked for some time to come to terms with how things had gotten so bad, and to work on herself.

Then she found someone new after like 3 months of stringing me along, and it honestly looks like she had him lined up as a backup beforehand anyways.

Then I found out from a mutual friend that she hadn't been raped by her ex back when we started dating; it was consensual, she was cheating, and the night that she'd told me about all teary-eyed and shaking was actually an afternoon, about 3 hours before I gave her a ring and basically decided that I wanted to be with her forever.

...What I'm getting at here is that everyone is a mixed bag, and even if it is a black-and-white thing, the reality of it might not be clear from every perspective.
