IMHO, Netflix should take over Person of Interest . These cancellation rumors are such bullshit!

I'm worried as well. While I do think Season 5 is a lock, there is a chance that CBS aka the worst network I've ever seen would consider it. Unfortunately, S4's finale hit a series low. 1.1 in demo and 8 mil audience. Hell, the show haven't been able to reach 10 mil and break through 1.6 in demo since Control-Alt-Delete iirc. The syndication deal isn't as profitable as ShitBS' other shows. PoI is owned by WB so about half of the money goes to them. More reasons to cancel it.

Yes ShitBS is bad for the show. A lot of the ratings problems is in fact caused by the network's own extremely shitty treatment of PoI. I'm happy that all the terrible shows on the network have decreasing ratings as the years go by and their audiences gets older and the particular genre gets stale. Extremely shit scheduling, terrible timeslot, invisible advertising, refusal to allow the show to be streamed online earlier and the network's own usual target audience is what's causing this. With the show's new structure, it causes the network's usual audiences to stop watching. The kind of people who enjoys watching this kind of thing either refuses to watch because of the CBS stigma or has no access to catch up. In conclusion, fuck CBS.

As for the amount of episodes. While I do enjoy 22-23 episodes per season. I think PoI would work better with lesser episodes. Not as low as 13 eps but 16-18 episodes would be great. Heck, even Nolan and Greg has expressed that they would love less episode quotas. But again that bullshit network didn't allow them to. I'm not surprised if ShitBS tries to turn PoI into your generic cop show, they already tried to kill the AI concept when the show was first conceived.

IF the show does get cancelled. I really hope another network would pick it up. CBS does not deserve to have this show on their network. Its very likely it will be picked up by others because it is a critical darling. Something networks (except ShitBS ofc) these days are trying to find to attract viewers.

Cancel this show CBS? We all riot. You better watch your kneecaps.
