Person of Interest 5x04 "6741" Episode Discussion

This was a fantastic episode. I'd even go as far as to say that this is one of their best episodes in the series. It helps that Sarah Shahi absolutely nailed her scenes here. It’s amazing how the writers of this show continue to show their excellence by making even the smallest details that one might miss (Hell, I missed a lot. I had to re-watch and still planning to re-watch tomorrow) very important moving into the show.

Here are the things I especially loved in this episode: SPOILER To make it even better, SPOILER, a subtle detail which Samaritan’s assets will most likely take for granted is just beautiful writing on the writers’ part. * SPOILER * SPOILER * The way they executed Shaw’s SPOILER makes you think it’s her experiencing SPOILER instead of a SPOILER is just awesome. Well, for my part anyway. * I love how Shaw and Root’s scenes weren’t too cheesy in this. I’m a Shoot shipper myself but I’m not a fan of cheesy romantic overtures, and the writers definitely did not disappoint. They made the romance between these two real without making it cringe-worthy. And can I just say because I cannot contain myself, SPOILER is just exquisite.”)

With that said, I understand that some may not find this as good as they expected because in a way, the feel of this episode is different. A little tip to make everything better: watch out for the smallest details.
