Immortals Gaming Club after buying the Optic brand then selling it back at a discount to Hecz a year later:

I don’t think so mainly because of a few reasons, they still had to pay off Infinite’s debt to both Riot and ATVI/Blizzard, I believe they’re still paying for that for both OW and LoL. In total they acquired OpTic/Infinite for around$45 million, they have to pay at least $17 million in debt to both Riot and ATVI. Not only that, they didn’t make money off of the Outlaws sale to Renegades, Blizzard took control of the Outlaws by then; funnily enough IMT still had to pay to keep the brand afloat meanwhile.

Then we have to look at the CoD spot, they bought for LA, which was $25 million minimum, but due to bidding it rose significantly higher apparently. They didn’t get a discount, they had first rights to the spot. Plus IMT still has to deal with MiBR which lost a ton of money due to the scandal over there and buying into the Flashpoint League, they blew up their LoL roster and staff due to high costs and contracts. They’re blowing up their LA Valiant roster, and to top it all off, they’re probably still paying Infinite debt to the franchised leagues.

I don’t think they made any money at all being frank, and if they did, they barely made anything. The only thing I can fully say they made money from, was selling OpTic back to Hecz for not as much as they paid for it, and being able to sell the LA spot to 100 Thieves. IMT took a lot more than what they were able to chew and it cost them heavily. Sure they might’ve made money, but it’s hard to say considering what IMT out itself through for the last year.
