ITAP of my lady tonight. Haven't used my studio gear in months. How do you inspire yourself to get out of a hiatus?

Here's an example I found on the r/analog thread. Possibly NSFW https://i.imgur.com/2rCSMb4.png See how the dark shadows swoop around the models face. Creating a focus on the face and highlighting it more. Whereas in your photo it's more of a mass of hair and dark shadow making it appear slightly off since its right in the center of the neck. By saying distracting, when critiquing a photo anything that stands out prominently that takes away from the subject falls under that classification. If there were more shadows overall it would blend in better or a light/reflector on that spot to soften the shadow density. I really like the colors and look. Very cool. Also cool to have a model on hand to try it again! You're surrounded by inspiration. I even look at the grain of my wood flooring (It's winter here) for patterns or anything unique out of the mundane as a puzzle to generate new ways of looking at things and more possible photos when going out. Also art galleries are a great way to get involved. I'm on the Board of one and find inspiration through other mediums and the techniques used in those mediums. Studying painters and light are great way to get unlimited lighting ideas. I also enter photo contests. Art contests, street festivals and more. I focus on selling art pieces and it's a lot of fun having someone say how much they love your work even if they don't buy it. So much better than any online feedback. Except for the time I won National Geographic 's Your Shot competition and got in their how-to book. Also by meeting other artists I was able to get involved in an internationally published photo book about the Battle of Britain for last years 75th anniversary. Something that never would have happened without keeping on taking photos. Without having ever done the 365 challenge. I try to take at least one photo a day. Just some random thoughts to try and get you inspired! Keep on taking photos! It's fun and your photos colors are amazing!
