ITAP of a lighthouse

This is the St. Marks Lighthouse about an hour south of Tallahassee, Florida.

I shot this two days ago, about ten minutes before sunrise. The stark brightness of the white lighthouse stood out really well against the blue hour sky, and that was dramatized even further by making the photo black and white. I really love the way the lighthouse pops here.

You may recognize me here on Reddit for my spaceflight photography, but I have a side project outside of my space work: Visiting and photographing all 30 lighthouses in my home state of Florida! This recent road trip along Florida’s “Big Bend” region brought my total to 14/30. You can see my progress at my website’s lighthouse gallery.
