On one hand, I wonder who would want Johnny coaching their kids? Aside from the fact that a lot of skating parents are so conservative they don't like LGBT coaches, he has no resume. At all. I couldn't imagine him being a good coach given he's never even really done guest appearances at skating camps. No one starts coaching elites - even former elite skaters like Ashley Cain and Ashley Wagner started with little beginner skaters.

On the other hand he would be great at marketing his skaters and help make them a lot of money, so that could be a huge plus.

I wonder who he'll get as the other coaches and how much he'll actually coach. Will it be an Eteri situation where he only works with a few skaters and coordinates things other coaches do? Since he has a lot of Russian skating connections and praises their system, it would make sense for him to run it like the Russians run their skating academies. One also wonders if he'll try to get some former or current Russian coaches to be part of his academy.
