As you must have seen by now from photographs taken by journalists embedded with the government, your community's livestream aggregation work is currently being used by the feds as their central surveillance feed for monitoring the protests happening across the country. Hope you're moving enough merch to keep your literal narc operations afloat and really hope you all realize that the work you're doing makes you direct accomplices to the people putting our friends and family in prisons and ICE detention centers all over the nation right now. These events are newsworthy and people need to be seeing what's happening, but beyond the financial incentive, there is zero benefit to anyone other than the government from livestreaming it versus simply recording the moment and judiciously editing it at home later before posting the content. Perhaps your community's efforts could be focused on collecting those videos and helping share them with the world instead of functioning as a crowdsourced arm of the surveillance state during this critical moment in history.
