Just completed a solo road trip thru the Southwest: 4100 mi, 5 states, 6 National Parks, over 11 days. Best decision I ever made. Here’s a shot in Zion NP (album in comments)!

Context: 2020 has been a real shitty year for me. Lots of personal problems including a falling out with 2 once very close friends of mine and temporary work closure due to COVID-19.

I decided that I wouldn’t let life drag me down. Packed 2 weeks worth of food, a sleeping bag, and my camera, then set off on an impromptu road trip to places I wanted to go to without any real planning. I ended up visiting

  • Chaco Culture National Historic Park
  • Arches National Park
  • Canyonlands National Park
  • Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park
  • Grand Canyon National Park
  • Horseshoe Bend
  • Vermillion Cliffs National Monument/Marble Canyon
  • Bryce Canyon National Park
  • Zion National Park

Honestly this was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Photo album link here. I hope you all enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Cheers to turning this year around.
