This honestly made me so frustrated. This was posted in a comment section that was dragging me for posting in this sub and truelesbians. And you know? The thing is I never disliked trans people. I just:

A) didn’t think it was okay to pressure lesbians into dating or sleeping with them

B) wanted to be part of more lesbian-centric spaces

C) don’t like limiting myself to certain groups (no problem talking to republicans, etc.) and consider myself more moderate but with a liberal lean.

Despite all this, I was active in actuallesbians the most out of the LGBT subreddits. There were quite a few times that I defended trans people in the comment section and in real life. I didn’t always understand it but I thought I was helping someone just do their own thing in peace. But at the end of the day, a significant portion of them don’t want to do their own thing - they want to “educate” lesbians on how they have the right to only like vaginas but they’ll be a dirty transphobic TERF if they do.

There have been a lot of times I unsubbed from AL but this might be the last straw for me. Weirdly, the LGBT community has tried to disrespect my sexuality more than a lot of the straight people in my life. I think I’m going to back off for my own mental health.
